Week in Review: 8/11 to 8/17 & a Giveaway

August 17, 2019 by Suzie Waltner 24 Comments

Week in Review

It’s the weekend! Does anyone else feel like these pass by way too quick? Even the three days are here and gone in the blink of an eye. But then again, we’re already here in August. In Tennessee, school started a week ago.

Regardless of the quick passing of time, I always make time for reading. I almost always have an audiobook playing during the workday and switch to a physical read in the evenings and on the weekends (this definitely helps me stay on top of my commitments). And this week there happened to be a few of those, but that means more giveaways for you!

One Last Giveaway

Are you a fan of novellas? I enjoy them because they are a quick read and because they are often an introduction to a new-to-me author. This week’s giveaway is all about the novellas and novella collections. The winner will receive a total of 12 novellas.

I like to read about Christmas, too, but also love Charleston SC settings.

Charleston is a great setting. Or the beach. I do like to escape to the beach in books.

No particular season for reading novellas. Love reading novellas especially from new-to-me authors; it’s a great introduction to their writing.

I like that about novellas too. Sometimes it’s difficult to squeeze another full-length novel into my reading schedule but a short evening with a novella is doable!

I don’t have a particular season that I like to read above another. Christmas novellas can be sweet, but I don’t necessarily gravitate towards them above another season.

I love Christmas novellas but I don’t have a particular setting that I prefer. Regency is always fun, but so is contemporary.

I’m with you. As long as it’s a good setting with great characters, I’m all in!

I do love Christmas novella, but I enjoy so many styles of books, I don’t think I could pick just one!

I love to read about Fall and the fun activities that happen. All seasons are good but Fall makes me think of football & cooler weather.

I’ll read novellas by favorite authors at any time of the year but I especially enjoy reading Christmas novellas in December because of the shorter length (so I can read more of them). I don’t really have a favorite season to read about generally.

I enjoy almost any theme in novellas, would like to see some for autumn, which seems to get left out.

I love all seasons, but have a special fondness for novellas that tie in to a series by the same author.
