Week in Review

We made it! I don’t know about the rest of you, but this week was a long one. And I’m sure these next two days will just fly by because that’s the way the weekends tend to go with me. Are any of you going to be at CFRR19? I’m getting excited about that, less than a month away! If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, visit christianfictionreadersretreat.blogspot.com. While this year’s event is sold out, you can sign up to get updates on future events.

It’s been a little bit quieter week here but there are still a few fun giveaways happening that I don’t want you to miss out on.

This week was busier than usual for me too! I’m enjoying my reading time this weekend! I hope that you’re getting in some relaxation as well!

I got some good reading time in today. Tomorrow is full with church and other plans so I had to try and fit as much in as possible today

Haha, I just saw the comment prompt. I honestly don’t have a preference between series and standalone books. As long as there’s no cliffhangers I’ll read anything! Lol

Depends how many books are in a series. I don’t mind 3-5 but when there are 20 or more, you’ve lost me. Often, I prefer stand alones just because I can love it, then move onto another author.

I’m with you. There is such thing as too long of a series!

I enjoy both series and stand alone books. I think what it comes down to is if I like an author or not. If I do, I’ll read a series happily because I get attached to families and it is nice to see their lives all resolved. Stand alone books are fun becauss you know you can read one quickly and not have to wait for the “next” one to be released. So either way they are great!

I generally prefer stand alone books, but sometimes I get into a series.

I love reading series more because it’s always fun to return to the same cast of characters, small town or community.

I would say I like them equally. I love a good series, but hate waiting for each book to come out. So a great stand alone is nice.
