Week in Review – 1/1/23 – 1/7/23 & a Giveaway

Happy New Year! I know it’s been a silent couple of weeks here, but since I was neck deep in edits and didn’t get much reading in, I took the last couple of weekends off since the blog tours were also on hiatus for the holidays.

This year, I plan to make one trip a month to the post office. Since this is usually what I end up doing (and a couple times in 2022 it was more like one trip every couple of months), I figured I’d just make that the procedure instead of trying to change that habit and not succeeding.

That said, I have a couple of December winners I will be contacting this week and we’ll start there.

Week in Review 10/23/22 to 10/29/22 & a Giveaway

Wow, can you believe this is the last weekend of October? We’re officially creeping into the holiday season. I’m working on development edits for my next book this weekend. My hope is to wrap those up so I can finish writing book three for NaNoWriMo. I found out a few weeks ago that the remaining three books in my series are releasing in 2023. While it’s wonderful for readers and from a marketing perspective, I had a little freak out about writing the other two books in the series and editing all three in the next 14 months. Now that I’ve wrapped my mind around everything, I’m ready to burrow in and get them in your hands.

For those of you who have read Midnight Blue, you’ve met everyone in the upcoming books as each member of Jake’s band is going to get their own story. Red Velvet is scheduled for a release April 11, 2023, Yellow Roses on July 11, 2023, and Ever Green in December. Now those dates are subject to change, but for now, they are on Anaiah Press Publishing’s editorial calendar for those dates.

I feel like I say this every year, but you will probably (really this time) see even fewer reviews from me as I’m immersed in my own stories. I will definitely continue to do this weekend roundup, though.

We’ve reached another weekend, and I am thankful I have a couple extra days off. I have so many things on my to-do list, the additional days free from work are helpful and needed. How are you spending this weekend?

After a week of house sitting, I’m home again today. It feels like I’ve been on the go for a month (even though I have been home here and there). I’m ready to settle in for a while. I have made a small dent, or maybe a ding, in my TBR this week, though, so I’ll count that as progress.

Happy weekend! You are going to start seeing fewer review posts from me over the summer. I’ve had to really back of on review commitments because of my writing schedule. I can’t wait to share more about Midnight Blue with you, which is releasing September 6 of this year.

But even though I’m not reviewing as much, I will still be sharing all of the giveaways that I am aware of with you on Saturdays.

Also, I am way behind on getting books mailed (like a month behind) to the weekly winners, but am headed to the post office this weekend. If you are waiting for a package from me, it should arrive within the next week to week and a half.
