The Rancher’s Fake Fiancee by Amy Vastine – Review

December 28, 2018 by Suzie Waltner Leave a Comment

If you’re looking for quick, clean reads, you really can’t beat Harlequin’s Heartwarming line. I’ve read several of these authors over the past year and each and every one of their books has been a great read without content I don’t want in my reading.

About the Book

The Rancher's Fake Fiancee

“I’m coming home…With my bride-to-be.” Tyler Blackwell just announced that he and Hadley Sullivan are getting married. And they’ve never even dated! Now she and her boss are in Montana so Tyler can sell his family ranch. Hadley only agreed to continue the deception in exchange for a promotion. But moving up the corporate ladder pales beside her growing feelings for Tyler. Will his past and Blackwell family secrets sabotage what Hadley wants more than anything–a real wedding?

In My Opinion

The title alone tells you plenty about this book so I won’t go into detail about the synopsis of this story other than to say the setup was fun but once in Montana, things take a turn.

Tyler and Hadley both struggle to feel accepted by their families. Amy Vastine creates a believable situation where two people would need to continue to playout a fake engagement. And all three of the other Blackwell brothers (as well as a few other townspeople) make an appearance.

At its heart, this is a story of how a person’s perception can get skewed to the point it changes who they believe themselves to be. Both Tyler and Hadley struggle with their family dynamics which are sometimes tenuous but there is also love between the Blackwell brothers as well as Hadley’s family.

Four down brothers have found love. There’s one left and I am looking forward to Chance’s story and getting to meet his daughter Rosie in the final book of this series.

My Rating:

ABOUT THE BOOK

loving graceTitle: Loving Grace
Author: April Smith
Publisher: Ambassador International
Release Date: March 20, 2018
Genre: Christian Fiction, Young Adult Romance

Grace Summer lands herself in a melon load of trouble when she becomes torn between the boy of her dreams and the boy almost next door.

As the newly crowned Watermelon Queen, she is thrust into the spotlight, meets the dreamy Warren Hartley, and continues trying to get over an accident that rocked her world. Mix in working with Beau Baron who Grace happens to fight with just about as much as breathing and the metaphorical sparks fly.

Like most things in life, Grace must learn to take the good with the bad. While the good is the handsome and fun Warren Hartley, the bad is Beau Baron—or at least being around his annoying and rude self way more than she would like. For Beau, Grace is nothing more than aggravating and an irritating reminder from the night of the accident.

Tensions soar as Grace and Beau fight to love themselves and maybe, just maybe, each other.
