When I don’t have my nose buried in a book, I like background noise. Most of the time, that’s provided by music. Whether sitting at my desk at work, driving around marking errands off my list, or immersed in chores around the house, music provides an ample soundtrack.
My favorite go-to music is praise and worship (yes, even while cleaning the house). There’s just something about it that automatically lifts me up, reminds me of where—and on Whom—my focus should rest no matter what my hands are doing.
Do you know who does praise and worship well? Passion. From the movement to the conferences to the music, the ultimate desire is intimacy with God.
Over halfway through February and I won’t deny I’m counting down the days until the end of the month (because my birthday is the 28th and I’ll admit, I love celebrating my birthday). But this month, I’m passing on deals and giveaways to you as well because I’m also a firm believer in the “It’s better to give than receive” school. Today, check out the book deals from Nichole Van. And don’t forget to enter the giveaway for your choice of a $25 Paypal or Amazon gift card.
Wow, so many new-to-me authors to check out this month. I hope your finding a few to add to your collection as well.
Sometimes I’m in the mood for a good Chick Lit read. And while that genre has diminished in volume over the years, there are still some to find. Books like Becca Wilhite’s Check Me Out. Cute title, cute cover, and promising premise.
In My Opinion
I so wanted to love this book. There was so much potential—a librarian, a friends to more possibility, humor, and an outward vs. inward appearance debate. While a likable read, Becca Wilhite missed some opportunities in Check Me Out.
