Welcome back and thank you for stopping by. It’s been another busy week here. The next two weeks (and really, all of November) are just as full. I love sharing opportunities for y’all to fill those bookshelves. Plus, now’s the time to start thinking about Christmas gifts (so those Amazon Gift Card giveaways are helpful!).
I spent the last few days at a friend and co-worker’s house taking care of her pets. Since I wasn’t at home with all of the distractions that come with it, I got to read a bit more than normal. Woo hoo! They got home Friday night so now my to-do list is staring me at the face. Guess I know what I’m doing this weekend!
But first, let’s get you caught up on what happened here this week.

I happen to know there aren’t many entries for The Resistance giveaway yet, so all of you that told me you like reading YA last week should jump over there and enter. I really enjoyed this entire trilogy from J. Rodes!
Weekly Giveaway
This week, one lucky reader will win two of the books I reviewed this week: Becoming Mrs. Lewis and Catching Christmas. Quick, go check them out and see why you want to read both of them. I’ll wait right here.
I just finished The Heart’s Appeal by Jennifer Delamere, and now I’m going to start A Daring Venture by Elizabeth Camden!
Both great historical reads!
Reading A Defense of Honor by Kristi Ann Hunter and Loot by Jude Watson. The latter because my son is reading it, and I want to know what he is reading so I can ask him questions about the book, plot, characters, etc. to help his reading comprehension.
I love that you are reading along with your son (and Kristi’s book is excellent!)
Third Sons’s a Charm by Shana Galen is what I’m reading this weekend.
Haven’t heard of that one. Will have to look it up.
I am reading a book, outside my normal genre of choice, and I just can’t get into. So I think I’m going to set aside for now and pick up the next book in my stack which I am almost certain to enjoy, Falling for You be Becky Wade
Isn’t it frustrating when you can’t get into a book? Falling for You was great. Have you seen the cover for Sweet on You?
Great giveaway!!! Thanks for the chance!! I just started reading Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris and love it!!
Another one I haven’t heard! So many good books!
Thanks for the giveaway! Right now, I’m reading The Saturday Night Supper Club!
That was a good read. I’m looking forward to book two next year!
I am reading An Amish Christmas Journey by Patricia Davids
I finished Rapsodia by Alexa Verde! Loved it!
