Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
While I’m more of a Singles Awareness Day gal, I love this holiday. Why? Because despite my lack of a special someone to share the day with, I am loved. God loves me, my family loves me, and my friends love me.
Today is gives me an opportunity to appreciate those who pour themselves into my life in so many ways. So, again, I say HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
Now, let’s talk about something else we love: BOOKS!
I happened across one of Michelle Griep’s books a couple of years ago and have loved every new book she’s released since then. In March, I have another one to look forward to!
About the Book
A London officer goes undercover to expose a plot against the Crown
Dover, England, 1808: Officer Alexander Moore goes undercover as a gambling gentleman to expose a high-stakes plot against the king—and he’s a master of disguise, for Johanna Langley believes him to be quite the rogue. . .until she can no longer fight against his unrelenting charm.
All Johanna wants is to keep the family inn afloat, but when the rent and the hearth payment are due at the same time, where will she find the extra funds? If she doesn’t come up with the money, there will be nowhere to go other than the workhouse—where she’ll be separated from her ailing mother and ten-year-old brother.
Alex desperately wants to help Johanna, especially when she confides in him, but his mission—finding and bringing to justice a traitor to the crown—must come first, or they could all end up dead.
