We survived another week! Anyone else a little bit in denial that this is the last weekend of September and we’re about to move into October. Not that I’m complaining, I love fall and all that comes with it!
Last weekend I had the absolute joy of visiting the ACFW conference here in Nashville and hugging some of my favorite authors. I also sat on a panel of bloggers and reviews and talked about what makes a book a five-star read. That was a fun experience. Despite my introvert tendencies, I wasn’t at all nervous (probably because I have no problem talking about books!)
It’s been a bit slower this past week on the blog. I have so many commitments for October, I’m doing my best to get a jump start on those. I can guarantee next week (and the entire month of October is going to ramp back up so be sure and visit often–or at least every Saturday so you don’t miss any of the fun).

Let’s go with a little suspense this week. One winner will receive print copies of Formula of Deception by Carrie Stuart Parks, Lone Witness by Rachel Dylan, and Imperfect Justice by Cara Putman.
I just read Christmas With the Cowboy and loved it! Tina’s books are always a five star read for me!
I am on book 3 of the Prince Edwards Island Dreams series by Liz Johnson. I had all 3 on my shelf so have been reading them in quick succession! Five stars for books 1 & 2 and I’m sure book 3 will be no different.
Heart Land by Kimberly Stuart is probably one of the best books I’ve read this year. Carolyn Miller’s Winning Miss Winthrop is another good read.
Where Hope Begins by Catherine West. I read it quite a few months ago, yet my mind and heart still come back to this book often.
This book was brought up a few times during our panel. Cathy pulled so much emotion from readers in this one.
No One Ever Asked by Katie Ganshert is a 5 star read that will have you thinking about it long after finishing it!
Yes! This was one of my 5-star reads this year too!
Almost finished with Lisa Harris’ newest, A Secret to Die For. As all of her books are, it is definitely a five star book!
Sons of Blackbird Mountain was a 5 star read for me. I loved it! I think most everyone likes Bischof’s books once they pick one up and read it. They just keep getting better and better!
I loved reading Married til Monday by Denise Hunter this year!
