Welcome to July, friends!
This month (on into August), I am taking a little break from reviewing books. I have a few on my tbr, but between reviews and finishing up my last manuscript for my Love in Color series, I am feeling the burnout.
Now, that does not mean I won’t be posting at all. These week in review posts will still happen and I’ll share the giveaways I know about there every Saturday. But my activity during the week will be sparse.
I’m hoping that taking this time off will help me find a better balance with my commitments and help me acknowledged that it’s okay not to try and do everything.
Can anybody relate?

A Final Giveaway
I’m testing out some giveaway platforms other than rafflecopter (which is known for attracting a lot of bots). In order to get the best feel for this, I’m giving away a gift card. Those are always the giveaways with the most entries. Since this is my first time using Gleam, please let me know if you have any issues.
One (1) winner will receive a $20 Amazon gift card. Giveaway is open internationally where accepted and ends 7/7/23 at 11:59 PM EST.
July 1 Week in Review Giveaway
I like some celebrating but nothing too crowded. Family get togethers are nice!
I prefer small gatherings, so I tend to stay home and celebrate as quietly as possible. There are people in the next neighborhood who are very enthusiastic with the fireworks for at least a few nights during the month.
I’m with you on staying home. I’m house/dog sitting this weekend and the city is doing fireworks. These poor dogs are stressed out with the noise. Here’s hoping the show is over soon so we can all go to bed 🙂
Low key, small family type things are the best.
We typically avoid the crowds, and just have a small get together with family.
We stay in for the 4th (too crazy out there). My husband usually throws something on the grill and we do a few small fireworks at the end of our driveway. We’re kept awake well after midnight with them going off around town!! The fourth is not my favorite holiday, lol!
I hope you do find the balance you need Suzie! I can’t imagine doing all you are right now and trying to juggle everything. Boggles my mind just thinking about it.
Thank you for the giveaway chance to win an Amazon card! Have a blessed week.
I enjoy small gatherings.
