The View from Rainshadow Bay by Colleen Coble (Review & Giveaway)

January 22, 2018 by Suzie Waltner 12 Comments

Even though some of my family lives in Washington state (and I used to live close enough to make the drive to Seattle in a day), I have not visited the area in which Colleen Coble’s new series is set. But one day, I might get there!

In My Opinion

Colleen Coble is one of those authors who you know is going to give you a good read anytime you pick up a book with her name on the front.

In her newest series, Coble takes readers to the Puget Sound area of Washington state.

When her mentor and friend dies in a suspicious accident, Shauna’s only option to keep her son safe is accepting help from the man she blames for her husband’s death. And Zach is willing to do anything to prove how much he regrets his part in his friend’s demise.

View from Rainshadow Bay

Throughout The View from Rainshadow Bay, there are plenty of suspicious characters. So much so I kept changing my mind about who I believed was behind everything. As the pieces fall into place to reveal the big picture, the tension, action, and chemistry heat up.

Experience the beauty and ruggedness of Washington, introduce yourself to small town living, and sit back to enjoy another heart-pounding thrilling read from Coble.

Disclosure statement:

About the Book

View from Rainshadow BayAfter her husband, Jack, dies in a climbing incident, Shauna has only her five-year-old son and her helicopter charter business to live for. Every day is a struggle to make ends meet and she lives in constant fear of losing even more than she already has.

When her business partner is murdered, his final words convince Shauna that she’s in danger too. But where can she turn? Zach Bannister was her husband’s best friend and is the person she blames for his death. She’s barely spoken to him since. But right now he seems her only hope for protecting her son.

Zach is only too happy to assuage his guilt over Jack’s death by helping Shauna any way he can. But there are secrets involved dating back to Shauna’s childhood that more than one person would prefer to stay hidden.

In The View from Rainshadow Bay, suspense, danger, and a longing to love again ignite amid the gorgeous lavender fields of Washington State.

It’s a beautiful state! If you get to come in the fall, you’ve got to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway & visit the Biltmore Estate! Fabulous!
