About the Book
Police Chief Jane Hardy is still reeling from the scandal that rocked her small-town department just as she took over for her retired father—the man who wrecked her life with one little lie. Now she’s finally been reunited with her presumed-dead fifteen-year-old son, Will, and his father, documentarian Reid Bechtol.
A crisis looms.
When a murder aboard the oil platform Zeus exposes an environmental terrorist’s plot to flood Mobile Bay with crude oil, Jane and Reid must put their feelings for each other behind them and work together to prevent the rig from being sabotaged.
A killer targets her son.
Then the terrorist puts her son Will’s life on the line. Protecting him could be the common ground they need . . . but then ghosts from the past threaten to ruin Jane and Reid for good.
She’s got plenty of reasons to run. But what if she stays?

Other Books in the Series
In My Opinion
One of the advantages of series with the same lead characters in each book is the character development. And in the second book of Colleen Coble’s Pelican Harbor series, readers get to learn more about the pasts and relationships of Jane and Reid. All while rooting for the two of them to come together in the present.
Of course, since Two Reasons to Run is a romantic suspense, there is plenty that gets in the way of that. A murder, a terrorist plot, and threats to Jane’s newfound teenage son keep everyone on the edge and scrambling to uncover the mystery before someone is hurt.
While enough details are given about the first book in the series, reading them in order will enhance the overall experience. Plus, you won’t have to wait months for the second book like many of us did.
Kudos to Coble for pouring the time into these characters and I will continue to root for Jane and Reid in the third book (and any more after that the author would like to write).

Thank you for the review. Now I know that I need to read each book of the series in order AND perhaps wait until a couple of months before the third book’s release before I begin the first book. Otherwise, I will be in suspense if I have to wait too long to continue with the story. (Pun intended)
I read One Little Lie and I need this book! Colleen Coble is one of my all time favorites.
