New town…
New set of problems
Suddenly single—and pregnant—Abby James hopes Three Springs, Texas, will give her the fresh start she craves. But five minutes in and she’s already clashed with a former Navy SEAL on horseback. Wes Tanner might be devastatingly handsome, but Abby has no time for romance. Especially with a man intent on leaving town. Abby wants to plant some roots…and falling for the tempting Texan could upend all her plans!

A visit for the holidays
Brings love for a lifetime
Cattle rancher Evan Bishop is desperate for Paige Palmer’s help. The veterinarian is in Three Springs for the holidays, but the single dad hopes she has time to save his ailing livestock. Paige is up for the challenge, though not quite up to resisting the cowboy’s rugged charm and his darling devotion to his little girl. Can Paige learn to trust the rancher before the countdown to Christmas ends?
In My Opinion
Abby’s move to Three Springs, Texas is supposed to be her new start, but it doesn’t begin very well in The Texas Seal’s Surprise by Cari Lynn Webb.
A new series from Webb means a new setting and a slew of new characters to grow to love (and plenty of potential for future books). Neither Abby nor Wes is looking for love…but they are drawn to each other repeatedly.
While this was a nice read, I would have enjoyed it more if we got out of Wes’s and Abby’s heads a little more often. There is so much potential for things to develop more—Abby’s new position or her pregnancy or Wes’s search. Instead, all of those things hid in the background until the last quarter of the book. I wanted to just shake the two of them and say, “Make up your mind and get on with it, already” several times during the book.
That said, Abby was still a likable character with her optimism and drive and ability to make Wes do things he didn’t want to do. And I am looking forward to seeing who gets zapped by by love bug next in this series.

“What would you do to help save a struggling small town? Or what do you think about the book cover, synopsis, review, or excerpt?”
I think everyone should band together to (1) start a collection, (2) find stuff to sell online, (3) start up businesses together.
It would depend on what the town has to offer. If it is a historical town, remind people of its significance and celebrate by having a parade/festivals. Play up what tourists will enjoy. Each town has its uniqueness that people miss nowadays.
