In My Opinion (Review)
Sometimes children’s books are for pure entertainment. Other times they hold valuable lessons. The Marvelous Mud House: A Story of Finding Fullness and Joy is on with a lesson even we, as adults, can be reminded of. This is a story of finding contentment not in possessions but in God’s goodness and provision.
This story juxtaposes one American family’s life (full of a large house, a large car, and the constant desire for more, more, more) against that of a mother and son in Kenya (who are thankful for there small home and their two feet that take them to and from the village). When the American family visits George and his mother, they realize that happiness is not found in stuff. It’s found in family and God. In giving thanks for His provisions and trust Him to continue to watch out for us.
Missions trips are often life changing, but not everyone can take one. With a meaningful story and beautiful illustrations, Author April Graney and Illustrator Alida Massari, bring the mission field into your home and in front of the eyes of children.
The Marvelous Mud Hut is a book that will enhance any child’s bookshelves.
