In My Opinion

Upon their first meeting, Troy and Crystal know they’ve met the one. But that means making some adjustments in the way they live their lives. And relationships aren’t always easy.

In Your Eyes by Jayne Townsley is a sweet romance that follows a budding romance into love. Troy has some demons he has to face—including a history with alcohol and abandonment issues—and Crystal has a dream she needs to chase.

At the beginning of the book, I was a little bit confused because there was something pretty significant that was just glossed over. However, after reading the description of the first book in the series, I realized the events are covered in book one.

The plot really picks up once Crystal is on the reality TV show in Hollywood and I became fully engaged in this story.

If you’re looking for a character-driven clean romance, add In Your Eyes to your to-read list (and that ending will leave you itching for book three in the series)

Jayne Townsley lives with her multi-generational family in Northeast Oklahoma’s aptly named Green Country. A transplanted Okie from the Chicago suburbs, she has grown to love this state and its people with a passion, happily calling it home for the past 15 years.

Jayne shares her home with a rescued Shollie named Maui and two cats called Gamora and Nebula.
