She could be The One
If he’ll let her in.
The rustic mountain town of Golden, Georgia, is the ideal place for crime scene investigator Deke Matthews to heal after a tragedy left him questioning everything. But there’s another reason he’s here, and moonlighting as an adventure guide provides the perfect cover. It doesn’t include falling for his boss. Attorney Grace Harper is back in Golden only long enough to save her family business. Just when Deke has found the woman to share his life with…

In My Opinion
Mountain views, small town atmosphere, and family drama supplement this story of two people on different paths who find each other in the least expected place.
Deke Matthews uses the search for information about her mother’s new beau as an excuse to continue his much-needed leave of absence from work. Returning to her hometown in the mountains of Georgia is the last place she wants to be, but duty calls and she’s resigned to help her family out.
The attraction between Deke and Grace is almost immediate and builds to a roaring fire over the course of the book. Yet, the psychological and emotional journey’s each of these characters traverse that makes this story a gem worth reading.
Randel draws readers in and invites them to settle in, enjoy the scenery, and grow with her characters. And she gives a little hint of what might be coming next with the last unattached Matthews brother.

Thanks so much for the lovely review of His Honor, Her Family. I’m so happy to be here today!
This sounds like an interesting book. I will add it to my TBR pile. Thanks for the chance.
I cannot imagine the things that a CSI sees on a daily basis and how it affects his relationships with others. The story sounds intriguing.
It sounds like a good book and the cover is so sweet!
I’m curious about the content of His Honor, Her Family. Is this a “clean” romance with no bedroom scenes? Asking because my grandmother loves the Harlequin Love Inspired books, and I’d like to find another series like that for her.
Yes, the heartwarming line is clean. No bedroom scenes. The kisses tend to be a little more heated. One of Love Inspired’s guidelines is no alcohol which is in the heartwarming line and a few of the books have an occasional curse word in them. There were none in this book, though. Hope that helps! I’ve really enjoyed the heartwarming line.
Thanks — that helps a lot!
You are welcome.
