IN MY OPINION
As I’ve traveled through time for five books with Rembrandt Stone, at the end of each—but none so much as book five—how was he going to get out of this mess? Now, with the release of the final book in The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone series, all I have to say is: Whoa!! This trio of authors hit it out of the park with Heart of Stone.
The Rembrandt we’ve grown to know over the previous books is still all there. The man who is slightly sarcastic and maybe a little bit egotistical who loves fast cars and classic rock is all there. But through all of his time traveling adventures, he has matured in so many ways that his revelations and acceptance of his purpose in this final book carries more weight.
Rembrandt sums it up so well in these words:
“A thousand tiny things…but I can’t change them all, every choice I make is a choice to change something else in the future. I don’t know what it is, but I have learned that I can live with the past mistakes much easier than without the blessings of today.”
If you have missed out on this series (or maybe were waiting for it to be completed before picking up the first book), now is the time dig in and enjoy the ride.
