IN MY OPINION

Guess How Much God Loves You by Karen Ferguson is a picture book that not only shows children how big God’s love for them is, it’s also a wonderful reminder for adults.

The illustrations throughout the book fit well with the story and young readers will be able to see a bit of themselves in Lucy. I thoroughly appreciated the use of scripture through the book and that there is a wide adult leading Lucy through these Biblical truths.

This book walks readers through the creation story while leaving room for future books, which is appropriate as God’s love in written form would fill every page available. There are some more Biblical bullet points at the end of the book as well as some questions that will create some discussion for the whole family. In fact, Guess How Much I Love You would make an excellent story to dive into for a night of devotions with young children or for a Sunday school class centered around the creation.
