Have you read the Pine Valley series from Heather B. Moore? This little town is overflowing with romance. Each book stands alone. A few people make cameos but it doesn’t detract from each couple’s story. Finding Us is the latest installment.
About the Book
USA Today bestselling author Heather B. Moore welcomes you to Pine Valley!
Felicity Miner is not normally an anxious person, and she’s been on her own since high school. But after a shoplifter steals from her bookshop, she calls the cops. When Officer Leo Russo shows up, Felicity has to tell herself that just because the romance novel she’s been reading has a hero police officer doesn’t mean she needs to project her imagination onto the real man. Yes, Officer Russo is unexpectedly generous, and he helps make Felicity’s home more secure when her worries won’t settle down. But the more Felicity is around Officer Russo, the more she imagines a future between them. Is he merely doing his duty, protecting and serving the citizens of Pine Valley, or is there potential for something more?

In My Opinion…
Despite the circumstances of their first meeting, bookstore employee Felicity Miner and Police Officer Leo Russo are quickly drawn to each other. A friendship (with the promise of much, much more) is almost instantaneous.
Felicity is a loner with no real relationship experience and only one close friend. Leo is from a large family, has friends all over Pine Valley, and hasn’t dated since he escaped the noose of proposing to the wrong woman. Yet, somehow these two find common ground and balance each other so well.
The interactions between Leo and Felicity range from slightly humorous to sweet to sigh-inducing (and Heather B. Moore adds a dog in this one—how can you not love that?). I appreciated the addition of the Felicity’s friend Livvy and the cameos from the Pine Valley residents from the other books in this series. My only wish with Finding Us was that the relationship between Felicity and her parents was explored a little more. There was potential for some serious unpacking in this one area.
Overall, another sweet and fun romance that is cohesive with the rest of the series.
