In My Opinion
While I enjoy the Love Inspired Suspense line, I sometimes feel like the books are too similar (obligatory car chases, anyone?). With its unique cloak-and-dagger story line and blessed absence of said car chase, Elizabeth Goddard’s Covert Cover-Up was a refreshing read.
Yes, Beck and Katelyn made some stupid decisions at times—like not including Katelyn’s brothers in their investigation—but the fact you don’t have a clue about who is targeting them for a good portion of the book makes it easy to keep reading. And then Goddard throws a few twists in there to pull you in even further.
The setting and Beck’s career as a rock climber and then a trainer are also unique to this story, making it one romantic suspense fans will enjoy.
