IN MY OPINION
From the opening pages of Abducted in Alaska, Hannah’s and Layke’s lives are in danger as they join together to protect a little boy and find other children. Criminals hunting you down is more than stressful, but when you add in the dangers of a Yukon winter, there’s danger at every turn.
I like a book that keeps me guessing, and Darlene L. Turner excels at it until the very end. Sure, I suspected some people but that kept shifting as the story continued and I just couldn’t nail down who was behind everything.
Hannah and Layke both have some big issues from their pasts and had different reactions to them. Hannah clung to God while Layke blamed Him. Yet, we see how God pursued him through much of this book by placing people in his life to encourage him toward faith.
Turner gives readers a peek into Canadian law enforcement and the beautiful country along the Yukon/Alaskan border. And once you start Abducted in Alaska, you’re not going to want to put it down again until the end.
