About the Book
Will an abandoned child bring them together?
Or tear them apart?
Cowboy Jericho Johnson lives a good life working on the Rebel family’s Texas ranch. All he’s missing is a wonderful woman like Anamarie Wiznowski. But Rico’s troubled past and Ana’s disapproving family conspire against them. When Rico is named guardian to a four-year-old boy, he asks Ana for help. And suddenly, he’s falling faster than Christmas snow…for Ana, sweet little Dusty and life as a family man!

In My Opinion
Though this is the eighth book in Linda Warren’s Texas Rebels series, it’s the first one I’ve read, and I was not at all lost. Although, now I’m tempted to topple my TBR by adding the first seven and getting to know the rest of the men at the Rebel Ranch.
From the moment he steps onto the page, little Dusty steals the show. His story is heartbreaking but with the resilience children seem to inherently possess, this little boy makes the best of his situation.
It’s Dusty who brings Rico and Ana (who have been circling around taking flirtatious conversations to the next step). But when their little family is threatened, can love hold them together?
A Child’s Gift is about family in all shapes and sized and all that goes with it. The fall-on-your-knees-in-despair disappointments, the overbearing members who make you want to pull your hair out, the happiness of home, and the unconditional love given freely.
