Once again they embark on their latest time-travelling adventure into first century, ancient Syria. On the road to Damascus the children meet the frightening Commander who is on a mission to find and punish anyone who disagrees with his religious views. The children must quickly learn who can be trusted in this dystopian Village as they push back against the darkness and look for the truth. In time, the children learn that ordinary people with extraordinary faith in God can have a monumental impact throughout the generations.
With the help of biblical heroes of old, this coming of age story will help young people discover their own unique purpose and mission in life. If you enjoy action-packed, suspenseful drama enveloped in cultural history, you are going to love “Time to Shine”.

Excerpt
Ally recalled the conversation she had overheard her parents having the previous night. (They didn’t know Ally was listening… or at least, she didn’t think they did.)
“Brett, what are we going to do about Ally? I’m SO disappointed with her school results. She has tutors for most subjects but nothing ever seems to change!”
“I know. Perhaps we just need to give it more time.”
“More time! Really? I could have bought a new car with the money we’ve spent on her so far, but she’s still so… average. Brett, I’m really concerned that Ally’s not going to amount to anything.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean.”
Ally shuddered at the recollection. If only she could work out a career… maybe then her parents would be proud of her, she thought. As Ally tapped the blue arrow to “my story” she wondered what her life would ultimately look like. Were her parents right to be worried? Would Ally never really do anything important? She started to wonder if people (in the future) would even know she had existed.
