IN MY OPINION

If you enjoy man against nature stories with alpha heroes and strong women who stand firm at their sides that draw you in and keep you holding your breath until the end, you cannot go wrong with a book written by Susan May Warren.

First, I strongly recommend reading any series written by Warren in order as her story threads in each book connect with the others. Even though the books can be read as stand alones, you will get so much more depth and pleasure out of the series.

Jake and Aria relied on each other in Alaska on top of Denali (The Way of the Brave) but parted ways. Now they continue their own story as they take the journey to discover the people God created them to be amidst a Category 5 hurricane.

Between the danger, the people Jake and Aria care for, and their relationship, The Heart of a Hero was hard to put down. And even when I reached the end, there are enough open-ended questions to have me hankering for Warren’s next book.
