An Amish seamstress and a single father have a chance to make a fresh start in this heartwarming novel about finding love when you need it the most.
Spirited, forthright, impulsive — everyone told Greta Eicher she’d have to change her ways if she ever hoped to marry. Then her best friend Calvin, the man she thought she would wed, chooses another woman. Now Greta’s wondering if the others were right all along. Her dreams dashed, she pours her energy into crafting beautiful quilts at her shop and helping widower Noah Stoll care for his adorable young children.
Noah knows it’s time to think about finding a wife. When Greta offers to play matchmaker on his behalf, Noah eagerly accepts. After all, no one knows his children better. But none of the women she suggests seems quite right, because, unexpectedly, his feelings of respect and friendship for Greta have grown into something even deeper and richer. But will he have enough faith to overcome the pain of his past and give love another chance?

GUEST POST FROM THE AUTHOR
Before her eyesight and hand problems forced her to stop, my mother was an avid quilter for many years. It was as much a social outlet as a creative one for her as she had a group of friends who all quilted and would get together to do the actual quilting whenever one of them finished piecing a quilt top. Among the many quilts she did for church raffles and such, she made one for each of her 5 children and her 13 grandchildren and all of us cherish them as very precious treasures.
However, Mom came to it rather late in life and I actually made a quilt before she ever did. I was about 24 when I got the idea that I wanted to make a quilt for my mom for Mother’s Day, even though I’d never made one before. It took me two years but I actually finished it and Mom still has it to this day – it’s on the bed in her guest room. As it turns out, this was one and done for me, I’ve never made another quilt.
What’s a project you remember making for your mother or one you hold dear that your child(ren) make for you?

Many years ago I did a special hand embroidery project that included gold work and trapunto to give certain areas a 3D appearance. I framed it and gave it to my parents. It still hangs on their living room wall, and when anyone comments on it, my mom proudly tells them that her daughter made it.
