She needs his protection…

But can he protect his heart?

Radio personality Kelly Bonner isn’t convinced she needs a bodyguard, especially one as intensely good-looking as Detective Donovan Walsh. Yet beneath Donovan’s tough-guy facade is a man struggling to raise his sister’s children. A man Kelly could care about…if he’d let her. Now she’ll have to find a way to convince her big, bad bodyguard that his family—and his heart—are safe in her hands.

In My Opinion

Even though I’m a Nashville transplant, I’m always a fan of a book set in my city and I loved that Amy Vastine put a couple things in her novel that locals love (the Nashville Farmers Market is most definitely an experience). But what tipped the scales for me in this book were the characters.

As a radio host at one of the most popular country music stations in the area, Vastine could have made her heroine a diva. But she takes a completely different approach and makes her sweet, kind, and generous. And when Donovan Walsh takes on the role of protecting her from a stalker, no matter how much he fights it, he can’t help but like her. These two have both experienced loss and made decisions about their futures because of them but when thrown together, those decisions come into question.

Then add in Donovan’s troubled nephew and adorable, energetic niece, and Falling for Her Bodyguard becomes that much sweeter. I didn’t even mind that I had figured out who the stalker was fairly early on. Getting to spend time with Kelly, Donovan, Graham, Avery, and several of the radio crew more than made up for it.
