and the cure for a perennial bachelor?
Raised by her healer grandfather, former army medic Ally Mowak knows her alternative approach to traditional medicine puts her at odds with most of her Alaskan town. That includes Tag James, the rugged transport pilot with the sprawling family and political ambitions. Ally couldn’t be more wrong for the aspiring senator. Then why does everything feel so right when they’re together?

In My Opinion…
Let’s start with the one minor, minuscule thing that bothered me a teensy, tiny bit. There were so many characters! BUT, I readily admit this is the first Carol Ross book I’ve read and since there are four Seasons of Alaska books before it, I’m sure if I’d started at the beginning, this family and residents of the town would be much more familiar to me. And though it was a lot to keep track of at times, there was no question who this particular story was about.
Ally Mowak is an old soul. While she’s had some unique experiences in her life, there’s one she’s not dealt with much—dating.
Tag James has experienced plenty in his life. The ultimate nice guy, Tag’s problem is that he can’t say no and rarely puts his own wants or needs first (which doesn’t make for the most healthy of romantic relationships.
When these two meet it seems they’re not going to be the best of friends. Good think first impressions sometimes don’t stick. As Tag and Ally spend time together, they quickly grow to admire the other. And you guys, the family basketball tournament is such fun!
The combination of combustive chemistry, tormented tension, an ex-girlfriend set on getting her man back, and an abundance of opinionated family members make this book a great read
Content warning: While this is a clean read, there is mention of medical marijuana.

About the Author
USA Today bestselling author Carol Ross grew up in small town America right between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, in a place where you can go deep sea fishing in the morning and then hit the ski slopes the same afternoon. The daughter of what is now known as free range parents, she developed a love of the outdoors at a very early age. As a writer, Carol loves to breathe the life she has lived into the characters she creates, grateful for the “research material” that every questionable decision, adrenaline-charged misstep, and near-death experience has provided.
