In Deep Extraction by DiAnn, that’s the exact question FBI Special Agent Tori Templeton and reinstated Deputy US Marshal Cole Jeffers wrestle with as they investigate a murder.
As the two uncover unbelievable hidden truths about a man they called friend, they struggle with the possibility a member of his family might have killed him. Not to mention the growing attraction between Tori and Cole.
Both of these characters are tough, no-nonsense law enforcement agents but both also have fears they deal with daily.
The body count rises without a break in the case which keeps the FBI task force (as well as readers) scrambling to find the answer. I loved that there were a couple extra surprises at the end of the book.
Sometimes God has a different path than the one we plan out.
Theo Garrison is hiding a huge secret, one that might destroy everything he’s built, including his budding relationship with Grace Cristler, in Fairland.
In Grace and the Preacher, both of characters are likable and despite Theo’s duplicity, I wanted him to find happiness. To find his identity in Christ and his home in Kansas. Grace’s soft heart and naivety could have made her annoying, but the author managed to balance it perfectly throughout the story.
As both Grace and Theo embark on a journey they didn’t set out on, they draw closer to each other. While Grace questions some odd things about the new preacher, she is quick to accept the reasoning of her elders as to why he’s different in person than on paper.
Nikki Boyd is back and what an entrance she makes!
From the first pages, I was drawn into this story. At the end of Missing, readers were left with the question of what would happen between Nikki and Tyler. And we’re still wondering about it as Nikki’s plane heads toward Nashville—and Tyler. But what is supposed to be a tender homecoming quickly turns into a case when the woman who was sitting next to Nikki on the plane disappears.
In a story that is not only relevant to the dangers facing travels in foreign countries today, Lisa Harris allows readers to experience both the beauty and the dangers of the Africa in Desert Secrets.
I loved both of these characters so much. While Lexi Shannon is put in a position that leaves her vulnerable over and over again, she is also tenacious and brave. She has a good heart and that shows through over and over again. And Colton Landry…let’s just sigh here at this hero. A man who is determined to not only to keep his brother-in-law safe but also who refuses to leave Lexi behind.
This story. Wow! There is so much I want to say about this book, so many things I want you to know but at the same time, I want readers to experience it for themselves. Katie Ganshert has outdone herself with this one.
